Artists in Conversation

Tuesday, October 24, 2017 | 1230-2pm
Room 312, Express Newark

Artists discuss their lives and how they are actually “making it work” in the real world.  An informal discussion and Q&A, speaking directly about the experiences they have had, both positive and negative, and how they support themselves in parallel jobs, while maintaining their core studio practice. This event is presented as a part of Art Biz, a series of lectures and events intended to provide artists with skills necessary to negotiate their careers in the art world.  All programs are free of charge and open to the public.

Speakers
Visual artist, arts advocate, and curator Jo-El Lopez
Arts administrator and professional artist, Armisey Smith
