Flute and Classical Guitar Concert Thursday, November 19 @ 10am

Rutgers University-Newark presents a concert of Music for Guitar and Flute in the Paul Robeson Gallery featuring Rutgers-Newark classical guitarist Leighann Narum, and Sara J. Berger, flautist. The Narum-Berger Duo returns for their 8th performance at Rutgers University-Newark, delighting audiences with their emotional and exciting performances. They will perform an international feast of music featuring composers from Cuba, Tunisia, Germany, Italy and Argentina. The concert is made possible in part with the support of the Cultural Programming Fund at Rutgers University-Newark with additional support from Paul Robeson Galleries.
The Paul Robeson Galleries frequently hosts and co-sponsors concerts that are open to the public. Many of these concerts are co-sponsored by the Office of Communications, including the “Art in Music” series, which features performers whose music relates to the Main Gallery exhibition, as well as “An Evening of Music and Art” series, in which concerts are held in the University Club, followed by a reception and exhibition viewing in the Main Gallery.
Musicians who have performed in PRG events include: NJ Symphony Orchestra Brass Quartet, Stanley Cowell Jazz Trio, Eco del Sur, Momenta Quartet, Caitlin Warbelow, Hassan Anderson, Leighann Narum, Akua Dixon’s Quartette Indigo, Siren Baroque, and more.
